September 15, 2014

  Dear Family,
So life is good, the grass in green, the good Lord smiling on you and meeee. Better knock on wood :) Don't know who sings that song, but I am pretty sure I sing that every single day. :) Cuz life is so DANG good. I don't think there is one thing I could complain about. Nothing is wrong. Whether that be at home or in lovely Luton :) haha
But onto your life. Sounds like its the same ol' same ol'. haha no big changes or news, so you could say that's a good thing :)ha Sounds like the dance was totes magoats a smashing time! I love stag dances. You get into the dance and your like, "K, lets go get it ooonnnn!!" Then "your song" comes on and you look at your friends and your like, "This is my song!" Then you go finna hard. (Is that used in the right context?) haha :) :) :) I miss school dances. Those were my pride and joy :) Live up your high school years Shananu cuz they go by way too fast. In fact when I get back I will see if I can't sneak into a few of the dances, because I miss them so much, and I look like I am still in high school so I could totes sneak my way in :) We would make that dance Legit. Actually 2 legit. :) Hope life is treating you well Marae and Dad. No e-mails from either of you.... That's okay, because I am kinda used to Marae forgetting about her only brother, but DAD, seriously? haha Jk love you anyways. Mum sounds like real e-state is improving and that you are having a fun time with that so point for you :) :) Everybody you are all really neat :) Every time I write I get this extra energy and my heart starts beating proper fast, and I get really giddy so that's why I am always all over the place :) :) ILY
   K. My life. You could call this week a week of miracles. :) And don't worry you will get all of the info about these miracles. There are three stories/people I need to tell you about so her you go. :)
Story 1.
David is his name, 29 Nigerian, we have taught him before and he seemed somewhat interested, but he wasn't progressing. So last week we saw him at ASDA, which is just the British Wal-Mart and he asked If we could come over, and of course we agreed so we scheduled to see him on Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around awfully fast and we go in thinking of dropping (not teaching) David, because he has kinda wasting our time to be honest. So we get into the lesson and we ask him about how his reading of the Book of Mormon has been and he says, "I have read what you wanted me to read, and I have prayed about it. And I have received a divine revelation that the Book is true." And Elder Nielson and I were like, "pardon?" haha not really, but inside I wanted to give this man a kiss, but I kept my composure and we taught him about Joseph Smith and what have ya and then asked him to be baptised on the 28th of September and he accepted :) :) :) :) :) :) GET IN SON! And he also was willing to come to Church and willing to follow the Word of Wisdom. Get in! So that was the best thing ever! Story number 1.
Story 2.
On Friday Elder Nielson came up with this lovely finding idea of showing the people on the street all of our pass along cards, and asking them to take a card, and doing some sort of magic trick. So I decided to try it... heheh So the first guy we stop, we say "Pick a card, any card." He picks one, and we ask, "Why that one?" And he says well it was the centre one. And we reply, "Well just like how that card was central, Jesus Christ is central to the message we share with people...." And continued to teach him about Jesus Christ and God. And this man, Lee is his name, told us that he didn't have a strong belief but that he was willing to meet with us on Saturday. So we met him the next day, and taught him in a local park where all of these kids were playing football, and I was getting so distracted! Thinking of my "glory days" hah :) But the lesson with Lee went amazingly well. He said all of the right things and by the end of the lesson we challenged him to be baptised on the 28th of September and he accepted!!! :) :) :) GET IN SON! Yup. Big gulp huh? Alright, see ya later.
Story 3.
Donia is her name, and it starts with a prompting to send a text to everybody in our phone to see when the missionaries could teach them again. And she calls and says, "What about Saturday at your Chapel?" SO we see her on Saturday after the amazing lesson with Lee, and we give her a Chapel tour, then show her a Mormon message, "Rescued through Christ" (which all of you should watch if you haven't) and start talking about Christ and the Godhead, because she is a Catholic and so she is really confused about the Godhead, so we told her about how God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, are 3 separate beings, but one in purpose. And she was like, Oh that makes perfect sense. So we continued on about Jesus Christ's life and started talking about baptism, and she thought that she needed to be baptised. So we said, "Well there is actually a very special room in our Chapel that we saved last to show you. And that is the baptismal font." Which was right behind her, so we open the doors and the first thing she says is, "That is the proper way it is supposed to be done." So we invite her for baptism right then for the 12th of October, and she accepts!! GET IN SON! :) Crazy innit?! So many miracles!! Random fact about Donia is she is from Pakistan, and is Christian... Weeeirdddd, but she has a family and wants all of them to be baptised!!! GET IN SON! :) ha
So that is my week. Crazy! But so lovely! This week flew by. Cannot believe it. It doesn't even seem real. But on Thursday I went into London (I bet you lot wish you could say that) hehe for a Leadership meeting and I received the package :) :) When I opened that package mum, I think my heart pooped. I ate 6 of those fast breaks right away. No hesitation. I regretted it afterwards, but Oh my days!! It tasted like heaven :) :) hahahah Thank you so so so sos much for everything! It was just what I needed. CHEERS! ILY
