YES February

      Dear Mum,

Hey I am glad to hear that everybody is doing good :) I got some big news.... Elder Dowdle and I are going........ to STAY in LETCHWORTH!!! :) :) :) :) WEHU!!! We are going to baptise so many people this transfer!! hahah :) But talking about baptisms let me tell you a quick story :)

So we are teaching this family, Kerry, Mia, and Ashlinn. And our first lesson went really well with them, so our second appointment we were going to give them a baptismal date... Oof this is big stuff!! You can't mess this up, cuz if you mess this up, you are messing up their salvation. And you don't want that on your shoulders. So lots of pressure building up to this appointment. hahah :) But don't worry we had a posh lesson planned out. We were doing the second half of lesson one which is the great apostasy and Joseph Smith. So we taught for a bit and then we watched the Restoration DVD and afterwards we had the member that came with us, Sis. Barry AKA the relief society president, bare her testimony about the church and Joseph Smith, and that was ooo soo good :) Then I, Elder Wright, started to bare mine and i don't really even remember what I said, all i remember is I said something about Kalena and how this gospel will strengthen the family even in troubling times, and some other things... I really can't remember. It was all directed by the spirit :) hahah But JSerious. It was. At the end of my testimony I asked them to prepare to baptised on March 2nd and they said....................... They weren't ready. Ugh. But have no fear, we prepared for that answer so Elder Dowdle stepped in and said some amazing things and now they are preparing for baptsim on March 2nd :) WEHU WEHU!!! Go US!! Point for us??? I think yes :)

Another good story. Well we are teaching this girl named Ria, she is 14 years old, and the daughter of a less active member. She is golden. She prays, comes to Mutual, come to church, just everything you want her to do she will do it :) SO tonight we are asking her to be baptised on march 2nd also. Not because it's convenient for us but we prayed what date would be best and we thought this date was the right date. SO we are going to do that tonight. But the member that was supposed to come with us just cancelled!!! UGH!! Now we are calling everybody we know in the freakin ward list and nobody can come!!! AHAHAHAH Stupid satan!! he's just jealous. Like what the heck. Just let people be happy :) hahah What a rude bloke.

Hmmm, Well I really have got to go to this appointment. Im terribly sorry. I wish i could e-mail you a huge long letter of everything i did... But i don't have time. I love you guys. The work is really going well in the LGC. Elder Dowdle is doing good. And me, I'm doing just fine. :)

I love everybody!!! Have a wonderful week and just remember if you stay on the Lord's side of the line, good things will happen :)

Love,

Elder Wright

Best Family in the World

The best family in da world,

So I don’t have much time this week, but I am really glad to hear that we don’t have any snow. :) It makes my job much easier! Hahah Just kidding. And that is so awesome that Dallin H. oaks came to talk to our stake! Like what the heck?? How cool is that? :) Oh so a little info on the whole football idea… it’s not soccer mum. Haah it’s football :) But so last week I talked to President in his car about it for about 10 minutes. He seemed somewhat interested :) I just don’t think I pitched it as good as I could have. So that stinks. But I’ll probably call him in about a month’s time and see what he thinks about it :) Let’s pray that he says yes!!

The work is truly hastening over here :) We received 5 new investigators this week!! Oh my days!! That is sooo many for us!! And one of them came to church on Sunday and she is super interested in the church :) Just a little side fact, that is the first investigator that has come to church since I’ve been here… Crazy huh? I feel like the Lord is truly blessing us right now. I see His hand in the work every day! And I’m starting to notice spiritual promptings more so, and I’m starting to act on them :) Because it’s hard to know if something is from the spirit or if it is just your conscious, but I am slowly understanding the difference between the two :) We had a wonderful day on Friday! It was so picture perfect. Our plans didn’t look like we would have the best day, but my days, we taught so many step ins, lessons, and just had a great time!! We were on cloud 9 :) then came along Saturday…. Hahah We had this perfect day planned out. We had football in the morning, lesson at 2 with a progressing Philipino man, a chapel tour with a black man named Maurice (we are now teaching his wife, Olivia, and his daughter Berry) we were going to make a baptismal programme for Leo Jaszewski and then go to the Loveridge’s for dinner. But it did not turn out anything like that. Yes, we played football in the morning. So far so good :) had some lunch, showered, got ready, then Den (Philipino man) texted us and said, “I do not think the church is for me. I do not want to meet with you guys.” So that gutted us a bit, but we couldn’t be disappointed because we had Maurice coming for a chapel tour :) So we went and met him at the park. It was 3 o clock then 3:10, 3:20, 3:30 came around and sure enough what do you know, he didn’t show up!! #gutted So we were now like what the _______ let’s just go back and do the baptismal programme. >:) We went back and sure enough the flippin baptismal programme wouldn’t print off the right way, the computer was messed up, it’s just super old, super lame, and nothing was working. Hahaha (I made that a lot more dramatic then it needed to be) So ya everything went wrong for us that day… Which isn’t really that out of the ordinary, it was just a bit rubbish coming off of such a perf day :) But in all fairness it wasn’t bad at all. Everybody has their own agency and they can do what they want. Sometimes you wish you could choose for them, but that is not what this gospel teaches. Agency is one of the greatest gifts we have, and investigators have it too. Unfortunately… >:) heheheh jk.

But it was another blessed week in the L.G.C. (Letchworth Garden City) missionary work is improving and I LOVE MY LIFE!!! I don’t have to worry about family, school, working at the warehouse…. Or any of that other rubbish :) hahah all I have to worry about is Missionary stuff. And that is truly a blessing :)

I love you. Thanks for everything that you do!! Transfers are next week, so don’t send any letters to the flat, later than tomorrow because I might move, so if you send them on Wednesday I probs won’t get them. Did that make sense? If not use your imagination >:)

Sorry this letter was so boring. Shame on me. It will never happen again. I’ll just add some of my fav movie quotes of all time :)

Pucker up and kiss it Who-ville :)- Grinch

Herd, circle formation. No you pin heads that’s an oval, more circley.- Open Season

I call it a woohoo bar you know like…. WEHU!! You want one you gotta go outside. –Open Season

I sail! Keep sailing Bob. On the boat, on a lake way far away from the dock, AHOY!! -Bob

Alright diiiving, you think you can give me a handle on it? Oh careful, Oh careful! -Bob

Are you peacocking? It depends is it working… >:) -17 again

I love you guys,

Love Elder Wright

p.s. Pray that Elder Dowdle and I stay together for another transfer :)

bishop Broke his Wrist

            Dear Mum,

Oki Dokie folks…. This is a quick rap for ya

Elder Wright, yup that’s me, The L.G.C. is the place for me.

We got black squirrels and the first round about,

In fact, I could never do without,

We don’t teach very many people every day…… but heeeey,

I go tracting every single day.

Elder Dowdle and I are two peas in a pod,

And we even eat at…. “Oh my Cod”

This is the weekly report form the L.G.C.

Elder Wright is out, until next weeeeeek.

Hahahaha Just thought I should throw that in there to spice up my letter, because they can get a bit boring so I hope you liked it :) I mean you better! Cuz that was flippin good :) LOLZ haha

It sounds like everybody is really busy at home! Which is great, because then it makes the time go by faster :) Mum, that’s smashing (good word to use huh? :)) that you are getting moved in and are starting to work!!! Point 4 you. Oh by the way we need to start keeping track of points so if you want to do a little tally that would be great >:) hahah But that work out that you guys do?..... That’s insane!! Whoa! You guys are really dedicated!! I thought waking up at 6:29 (not at 6:30 because we are diligent missionaries so we wake up earlier) was bad but 5??!!! Holy moly that’s ridiculous. Point4you3 :)

My week this week, was a typical mission week nothing too exciting but there are a couple stories that I will share with you that are quite an experience. :) So we go to Mutual every Tuesday night and this Mutual was quite eventful. So they shared a little spiritual thought and whatever else they do and then we went and played bench ball!!! I would try explaining how to play, but im not very good at explaining it, I have tried to explain it 3 times already and it just never made sense so I erased it >:) But anyhoo… during the game you have to stand on a bench, that’s all you really have to know for bench ball. So just have that in your mind. So we were playing and we won our first game! Point4me :) And because we won our first game that meant we were in the championship game!!! So championship game, it’s neck and neck, possession is going back and forth, we get a point, they get a point, we just can’t pull away!! Then we get a substitute…. Bishop. Oh yaaa If there is one person who knows how to win a game of bench ball it’s Bishop. :) So bishop is on the bench and we throw him the ball and when we throw him the ball he slips off the bench and falls flat on the floor! But Bishop he isn’t the smallest guy by any means…. So when he fell off he had a lot of force coming down with him. Hahaha :) And when he fell…… he broke his wrist!!!! In 5 places!!!! Whaaaaattt!!! The ref (Young men advisor) calls the game right there and says to go home. I was kinda mad, because I wanted to win the championship game!! But Bishop had to break his wrist…. Crazy bishop. :) :) :) hahahahah yup so that was my crazy story for the week :) pretty funny eh?

The rest of the week we were going out and trying to find families to teach!! We are coming up with some pretty fun ideas other than tracting to find people. For example we went football finding! And that is when we just play football for 2-3 hours and play pick up games and such. So that’s quite fun :) We even got a few appointments out of that so that’s a win-win right there. Play football and do missionary work :) Poit4me. >:) We are going to try to hold a Hot chocolate night sometime this week in our flat complex so we can get to know our neighbours and such, so that should be quite good :) But my main idea that I came up with. Oooo it is sooo posh! So we (the England London Mission) hold a football tournament in Hyde Park in the summer!!! I told President about it and he seems pretty keen on it so we are going to try to throw that together and hopefully it works out. The winner would get premier league tickets, and we would advertise it with flyers in the tube’s, in sports stores just everywhere!!! And it would be 40 pounds to enter and when you enter you get a t-shirt, water bottle, and a jaw string bag :) And all of those accessories have Mormon.org things on them. :) Pretty posh huh. :) Presdient told me to e-mail him all the dete’s today and then he will call me. So I gotta make this e-mail really posh so he thinks the idea is good enough :) So ya I have to e-mail him now. Sorry but I got no time left.

Just know that everything over here is absolutely perfect. I couldn’t want anything more. I love every second of it. I know I say that every letter home but I truly do. There is nothing that compares to watching somebody change and accept the gospel :) A mission has really strengthened my testimony and I just hope that somehow and in some way my testimony will make a difference to somebody :)

I love you guys! I wish words could described how much I love you. You are perfect. Don’t change…. Well maybe you should change in some ways… but that’s up to you to decide >:) hahah Keep on keeping on. I love you to bits.

Love,

Elder Wright

P.S. I played golf today on a par 3 course…. It was so much fun :)

Happy New Year 2014

            Dear Mum,

I loved how at the start of your letter you said, “I pray this year flies by for all of us cause after seeing you I can’t wait till you are home.” Haha because I pray for that every day and night. :) Elder Dowdle makes fun of me for praying for that, but I am like step of ginger man. You’re just mad that you’re a ginger. Then he gets mad at me and we fight. Hahahah JK :) But I would have to say that my mission is going by pretty dang fast! In a sense I want it to slow down, but then I think of home and of you guys and I think…. GET ME HOME!! Haha :)

It sounds like the improvements on the home are coming along nicely :) Point4you. And you passed your Real Estate license test!!! 10points4you :) I can finally say I am proud that you are my mum….. hahahah Just kidding mum I love ya to bits. I was proud of you long before that!! Wow. Im sorry that was really rude. Haha

Im guessing you want to hear how my week went and such…. So here is kinda what happened. >:)

Monday- Monday was pretty relaxed; because we had Zone meeting from 10 to about 3 then we had to travel back to the L.G.C. (Letchworth Garden City) for a dinner appointment with the Collinsons. After the dinner appointment we went tracting for about an hour or so and that was about it.

Tuesday was really funky. Cuz we were supposed to e-mail on Wednesday but the Library wasn’t opened so… we had to do it today and that kinda messed up all of our plans…. So that kinda stinks but hey it was nice e-mailing you guys :) After that we travelled to Baldock. And I say travelled, because it’s like a 3 mile walk… UGH. Kill me. And it’s not like you can talk to people on the way or anything, you are just walking through fields and random scurry paths. So travelling there was quite fun :) LOL  But once we were there we stopped by a few Referrals given to us by members. And 2 of the referrals didn’t live at that house so that was a bit awkward. Hahah This is how the door approach would go. Knock knock knock. *guy opens the door Me: Hey does Nick Kent live here? Random Guy: Nope. Sorry mate. You got the wrong house. Me: That’s alright. So my friend and I we are missionaries from our church and blah blah blah blah blah blah. Random Guy: Sorry mate, not interested, but have fun in the rain. *Shuts the door :) hahahah Dang. Talk about a succour punch to the gonads. Haha But after trying to contact the referrals we went to a dinner appointment at the Loveridge’s home and after that went and celebrated new years at the Jaszewski’s!! But don’t worry we went to bed at 10:30…. I was a bit flustered because I wanted to stay up til 12, but Elder Dowdle would have none of it. Stingy Ginger Man. Heheheeh >:) overall a pretty good day :)

Wednesday- P DAY!! Just messed around and did P-DAY stuff. I don’t want to bore you with what we did so I’ll save you from those stories. Haha :)

Thursday- I started to get ill. Just like a sore throat and a cough. But hey I didn’t stay in the flat. But boy was I praying like crazy not to get ill. This is how my prayer went I’m not a slacker, I do the work. Check it out I’m in really bad shape. C’mon gimme gimme gimme I need I need gimme gimme gimme. :) hahah *my prayer didn’t really go like that if you’re curious. They were a whole lot better :) Anyhoo Heavenly Father blessed me so I would be able to go out and work for the day!! So that was great :) Ya it was just a solid day :)

Friday- Woke up and I was getting worse….. But I didn’t show it. Elder Dowdle was like mate you sound like _____ fill in the blank >:) hahah Did you guys put in a naughty word? I knew you would…. You should go repent or something. All he said was mate you sound like rubbish. So shame on you guys! Hahah :) But ya just went out and tried to find families!!! That’s all we focus on now. Family. Family. Family. Didn’t find any. But man were we close :) :)

Saturday- Woke up and Oh boy…. I was thinking to myself this is not good. I feel terrible. But I told myself I feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful. :) Because if you tell yourself that you feel better than you really do you end up feeling better, so I tried it and it worked :) But we had football in the morning with members and that was quite fun :) And the whole time it was raining like cats and dogs! It was ridiculous!  It actually rained the whole day! And at one point it even started to hail…. That was quite an experience… Tracting while it was hailing :)  That’s what I call good solid missionary work. Hahah  We went to Baldock again and found a family!! Our Hard work paid off :)

Sunday- Every morning we stand outside and greet people and when we got to sister Hopwood she said something quite interesting, I said how ya doing sis. Hopwood? And She said, “Are you feeling alright, cuz you look terrible.” And then she went inside. And I looked at Elder Dowdle and I said do I really look that bad? And he said mate, you have looked this bad the whole week…. So throughout church my sickness started to get worse and pretty soon I had this terrible head ache, my body ached and everything was hurting. So after church we went back to the flat and I took a nap. So I went to bed at 3 and woke up at 8! Holy moly! I slept forever, but when I woke up I felt like a spring chicken :)

This week was a solid week of missionary work. Our numbers weren’t the best, but we did find a few families we are going to teach this week and hopefully set a baptismal date for them. So pray for us :)

I love you guys and I pray for you every morning and evening! Hope your week goes great!

I love you,

Keep Calm, and Carry on.

Elder Wright

Christmas Every single Day!!

My Fam,

Can it just be Christmas every single day? Hahaha Like holy crap! That was soooo nice to be able to talk to you and see you!! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) When I saw that you were calling, I got so nervous all of a sudden… My heart was going so fast. Oh so fast. (caleb’s voice) haha I think my heart pooped when I saw you guys! Hahaha Nobody has changed. Go figure. It’s only been 3 months. Haha Only 3 months?! Looking back it seems like forever, but it’s gone by so fast! It doesn’t exactly make sense to me. :) LOL But I can tell you somebody who did change, KEO!! What the ______ <- fill in the blank. Hehe she is so big! And that was so cute when she was staring at the screen and trying to figure out where I was and such. :) ha I loved it. That was by far the best Christmas present!! I can’t wait for Mother’s day! :) or maybe I can get special permission to Skype you guys like once a month or something… Cuz that would be pretty cool :) But it seemed like everybody was doing well :) So that makes me happy!! Did you like my accent? You already told me you did, but it’s pretty fun huh :) But the question that has been really nagging me is…. . . . . . Did you like my butt??? Hahahahah It’s so BIG!!!! :) Like who could have thought that Dayton Wright could get somewhat of a butt? Cause I know I didn’t think I could :) LOL Ya Christmas was perfect.

So Boxing Day, :) I bought a few things I’ll attatch some pics for you guys to see but I’m not going to talk about the shopping too much, because it wasn’t that special. But what was really special is the fact that I got to watch TANGLED :) :) :) :) (: (: Oh that made my day!!! Haha Im such a little girl. But ya that was really nice to watch. I also watched Monster’s University, a football game, and the Incredibles. :)I tried to persuade President Jordan to allow me to watch What About Bob but he didn’t consider that a “Christmas Classic” so that kinda stinks… But I still feel good, I feel great, I feel wonderful :)

MAJOR NEWS. THIS JUST IN. (not really) but I got a new companion on Friday!!! And he is a complete stud :) I thought I liked my other companions before… Elder Dowdle puts these other guys to shame!! (: (: We are so much alike. We have roughly the same personality, we are both really good at talking to people and we have a lot of fun together :) You are probably wondering where this Elder is form, but before I tell you, you have to take a guess. . . . . have you guessed yet? . . . . . . Seriously. I’m not telling you till you take a guess. . . . . (: Sooo He is from Boise, Idaho. (Where’s a map?) :) He is about 6’2 and he is a ginger! Hahahahaha LOLZ. :) Sorry marae no offence, but it’s just fun to make fun of ginger’s. There isn’t anything wrong with “them” it’s just that they don’t have a soul…. >:) But you guys could get married if you wanted to, cuz you are both ginger’s so maybe cuz you both don’t have a soul, Your kids would….. IDK. Reverse Psychology?? it might just work. Hahaha :) Anyhoo, So Elder Dowdle and I have set some goals for this transfer of what we want to accomplish and I think you guys should know what those are. So here you go. We want to find and baptise 3 people, (preferably a family) become a proper British person, (which means we always talk in a British accent and try to act like the British) and to get stacked in the morning!! :) Because I really want to increase the size of my booty. That way people can call me big booty hoe. Hahahahah Wow. I am in a weird mood. I will regret saying these things. But YOLO. :) haha Elder Dowdle and I are going to have a great transfer!! I can’t wait to see what we can accomplish :) Oh. We also are going to get our British licenses this transfer. That way we can drive in the mission :) (Just a little side fact, if I get my British license my insurance in the states will be much cheaper, so sending me on a mission will actually in the long run save you money :) ) But ya that’s Elder Dowdle. 6’2. Boise Idaho. Been out for 7 months. Ginger. >:) I really like him :)

Ya that’s my life right now. It’s going great! I love everything about my mission. It’s crazy it’s 2014 tomorrow. Guess what?! 2014 is the only year I have to serve the entire year on my mission. So pretty much after 2014 is over, I’m coming home  :) I’m almost done with my mission…. Hahah :) I love you guys and I can’t wait to hear from y’all next week.

Love,

Elder Wright

PS. Yes I skyped spencer :)
